Norman Plastow Gallery is designed to provide an exciting and versatile exhibition space for amateur and professional artists, schools and colleges to display their original artworks. It forms part of the Wimbledon Village Hall Trust facilities and is an important part of its charitable activities which enables hire costs to be kept to a minimum. The gallery is situated in the heart of Wimbledon village with good transport links. Entrance to the gallery is from Lingfield Road and a wide staircase leads up to the gallery door on the first floor. The gallery measures 8.5m x 2.75m and is 2.4m high. The walls are plastered and have an easy to use J-track hanging system along each side. There are two tracks of 12 LED spotlights plus general lighting. Natural lighting comes from two large roof lights with electrically controlled blinds and ventilation. Power and computer points are along each wall, the floor is covered with vinyl tiles and under-floor heating is provided. The doors are fire resistant with mortise locks. The Gallery is let for a 13 day period Exhibitions can be set up from Wednesday and must be taken down by the end of the letting period.
You are advised to make an appointment to view the gallery and read the hire agreement in advance of making a booking. Payment of the deposit signifies your acceptance of all the conditions of hire that are contained in the agreement.
